During my stay in the African Wildlife Orphanage job at Zimbabwe, I spent time with the animals than I did with all the volunteers. I dug a pond for those lions and ready food for several of the carnivores. I loved feeding on the servals, particularly because they were quite friendly and gave lots of kisses. I seen two lamb births and must spend a lot of time with the newborn lambs. I'd go in the enclosure each night to kiss them goodnight.

There was the most gorgeous sunsets that the volunteers could observe every evening and the sky was really obvious that I was able to see thousands of stars. I spent the first night from the pool staring in the stars for one hour and a half. It was this wonderful change to see over 5 stars at the skies.

The team was so loving and affectionate. They had been accessible whenever we needed anything and have been happy to earn a visit to town for us. We got to party together every few of nights. They really understand how to play party games.

The team organized a visit to Victoria falls to us and urge many actions, such as, for instance, a gorge swing in the drops, and stores for us to purchase memorabilia. I purchased a lion tooth necklace and a crocodile skin bracelet. The drops were absolutely amazing. For more info click Zimbabwe volunteer

The team also coordinated an action on a close by lot that instructed us how to monitor animals for study. We must divide up into groups to track a collar down, my team won. I loved every moment of my positioning in the African Wildlife Orphanage and wish I could have stayed longer
